Rachael earned an MSc with this research group in 2016, and is now pursuing a PhD supported by a Vanier Scholarship. Rachael is investigating possible control architectures for a surgical robot on the space station. Rachael is quite an accomplished individual, and was named one of the Top 40 Under 40 by Calgary's Avenue Magazine in 2014.
Mahsa completed an MSc with Chris in 2014, and you can read her journal paper here. Mahsa is now in the PhD program, developing advanced model predictive controls for biological wastewater treatment.
Saleh is studying for an MSc, with his thesis on the control of flexible-joint robots using the Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller.
Emily is supervised by Dr. Peter Goldsmith in Mechanical Engineering and co-supervised by Chris. She is working on haptic controls for the surgical robot on the space station project.
Preston is working on control system designs, using visual servoing, for a surgical robot on the space station.
Pegah is starting her MSc in Jan. 2018, and will be working on control system designs for a surgical robot on the space station.
